ARGENTINA AS ANOUTSOURCING DESTINATION Argentina’s economic growth period (ExhibitV), between 1990 and 1998, sawinvestments froma large number of US and Europe-based IT and technology companies in the country. Large scale privatisation ofArgentina’s utility companies, aswell as the flourishing telecom, software applications and Internet consumermarkets, attracted large softwaremultinational corporations like IBM, Microsoft, SAP, HP, Compaq, Novel, ITT, HP, Datastream, and telecomgiants like SunMicrosystems, ECI Telecon, Nortel,Motorola and Ericsson.... INDIA VS ARGENTINA India’s mature IT market and the experience of Indian outsourcing firms with some of the biggest North American companies, made it the most preferred outsourcing destination (Exhibit VIII).
